{ Kitchen Action}

March 8, 2011

Lately it has dawned on me that our kitchen is truly where our hearts lie. So much time is spent preparing, shopping, and cleaning this space that it is no wonder that moments of my day seem to travel back to the kitchen to wonder what else needs or wants to be made.

For our family, a cozy kitchen is a necessity. We love to cook, we love to eat well and know what is in our food. This is something we hope to pass onto our children and teach them to not only nourish themselves but to nourish their souls in the process of eating.  Today’s kitchen lesson was one of the power of flour. Pull up a chair, help me bake and maybe learn something about cooking.

While his lesson might just be in the joy of flour and how much fun it is to spread out and get everywhere, my lesson was in how much fun it is to share these little moments with my little one.  And somehow it all got done, all the baking was finished and everything got in the oven without any tears.

Amazing.
