Merrily we craft along…

December 11, 2011

The seasonal crafting and decorating has hit this little house in a fierce way. We have been preparing and baking, cutting, sewing, gluing, knitting and readying ourselves to celebrate this special time of year. For our little family the rhythm of Christmas involves much crafting and decorating – and for the first time this it includes the little guy.

My desire for a homemade Christmas is slowly coming to fruition with the making of some of my favorites and a few new finds that will become favorites. Tissue covered glass lanterns  might need to become an every season item on my tables and deck, new stockings, paper chains, and cottonball snowflakes on my windows were fortunately all made with things around our home. In an attempt to spend as little as possible and use what we had we have made the house filled with more festive good cheer than any year past.

I am quite proud of what we have made so far and having so much fun making the items with my little guy has inspired me to make more!
